Wilma Jean Lambert, 92, of Wellston, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born January 9, 1930, in Jackson, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward and Nancy (Sprouse) Rasp. Over the years Jean could be found working at local grocery stores, but mainly she was a homemaker; a role she cherished and fulfilled with much pride and dedication. Jean enjoyed traveling and camping with her late husband, Art, and the rest of the family. She liked watching her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals football…unless they were losing and making her nervous at which point, she had to turn off the game. Typically, that was more often than not until as of late. Who Dey!
She is survived by her loving family: Sons, Larry (Barbara) Lambert and Barry (JoEllen) Lambert; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Lambert.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lambert on December 3, 2005; sons, Michael, and David Lambert; granddaughter, Kelli Lee Lambert; daughter-in-law, Cathy Lambert; as well as two brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A graveside service with Pastor Tim Jones officiating will follow in Salem Cemetery.
