Susan Eberts-Gallagher, 36, of Cleveland, formerly of Hamden, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born on December 28, 1984, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Dennis Eberts and Mary (Hale) Baldwin, who survives. Susan was a 2003 graduate of Vinton County High School. During high school Susan was quite athletic and lettered in any sport she played. Upon graduation, she received a softball scholarship to Urbana University for fast pitch. Susan enjoyed being outdoors, watching movies, and spending time with her husband and daughters. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Neil Gallagher; daughters, Banning and Clancy Gallagher; stepdaughter, Emma Gallagher; mother, Mary Baldwin; sister, Karen Eberts; niece; Emily Baldwin; aunts, Lue (Bob) Stewart, Shirley (Jim) Boring, and Donna McCorkle; as well as several cousins and friends.
In addition to her father, Dennis, Susan was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Bert and Marguerite Eberts; and maternal grandparents, Allen and Mary Kate Hale.
A memorial service celebrating Susan’s life will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, Wellston, with Pastor Jim Eberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home also on Friday two hours prior to service from 5 to 7 p.m.
