Sandra "Sandy" Lee (Handley) Blessing

Sandra Lee (Handley) Blessing,77, of Wellston,  passed away peacefully, on April 12, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born August 13, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Joe and Erma (Waugh) Handley. 

Sandy is survived by her children, Keith Faught (Debbie), and Shanna Leach (Steve); sisters, Aliceann Humphreys (Bob) and Jo Handley (Kurt Wiegand); as well as grandchildren, Jeremy Faught, Brittany Faught, Dylan Faught, Ariana Faught, Kelisha (Cody) Bennett, and Landen Faught; eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Blessing; brother, Bob Handley; and sister, Marsha (Handley) Ross. 

Sandy was a long-time member of Puritan Free Will Baptist where she was the pianist. She spent her life serving others as a CNA and later as a Hospice Aide. She enjoyed playing the piano, going to the beach and shopping.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., where a funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastors Keith Fulton and Tim Jones officiating.

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes, her body, following the services, will be cremated.
