Nancy C. (Bishop) Isreal

Nancy Carolyn Isreal, 84, of Wellston, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Adena regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born December 21, 1938, in Athens, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward Bishop and Helen (Kirby) King. Nancy spent many years working at General Mills and was a devoted mother and grandmother. A lifetime member of the V.F.W., She loved playing Bingo when able, crafting, and reading western romance novels set in the 1800’s. Most of all, she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.  She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her sons, William Edward “Ed” (Daryla) Graham, Kenneth Ray “Ken” (Traci) Graham, Thomas Allen “Tom” Graham, and Bruce Gene (Janet) Graham; a daughter, Shari (Gene) Carpenter; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great- grandchildren; as well as several special nieces and nephews and a stepsister, Jeanne Burson.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Loren C. Isreal, and her half-brother, John Bishop.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes her body will be cremated. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
