Marvin E. Depue

Marvin Eugene Depue, 75, of Hamden, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born January 10, 1948, in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late Harold Eugene and Rita (Perry) Depue. Marvin retired from General Mills in Wellston after spending many years as a forklift operator. An outdoorsman at heart he enjoy hunting, fishing, and gardening. He could often be found mowing grass for neighbors, riding four wheelers with the grandkids, or tinkering around the house. Marvin was a very sociable person who knew no stranger. He was a hard-worker, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Tonda; sons, Dave Depue, Jim (Mandy) Depue, Jeff Depue, and Codie (Kristen) Depue, as well as Brian Depue and Denny Clemons, who were like sons to him; daughters, Virginia (Robert) Kerr, and  Tammy (Donald) Dickerson; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Keith Depue; sisters, Beulah Carpenter, Sharon (Melvin) Stone, Debbie (Russel) Johnson, and Darlene Stacey; as well as several nieces and nephews; special friends, Nancy Morris, and Kevin Bowman; and his beloved dogs, Mitzie and Wrench.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by a son, Michael Gilliland Depue; an infant daughter, Tiffany; brothers, Ronnie and Dennis Depue; and special friend, Walter Morris.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston. In keeping with Marvin’s wishes cremation will follow.
