Joseph A. Colley, 82, of Jackson, passed away at Four Winds Nursing Community on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from complications of COVID-19. He was born on December 17, 1937, in Jackson, Ohio, son of the late Floyd and Zelma (Benson) Colley. Joe proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He attended Trinity Chapel in Jackson, when able, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda (Withrow); brother, Terry Colley of Alabama; sister, Sadonna Crabtree, of Jackson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Robert Dean Colley and sisters, Sue Bane and Delores Hughes.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and private burial will be in Hamden Cemetery. Full military rites honoring Joe’s military service will be conducted. Pastor Stan Howard to officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Joe’s name be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Cincinnati Chapter, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
