Jane E. (Downard) Partee

Jane E. Partee, 87, of McArthur, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Maple Hills Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in McArthur. She was born on July 28, 1932, in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy and Daisy (Roach) Downard. Jane was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and retired from Goodyear in Logan, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Cathy Stoughton and Christy Scott (Dale Graves); three grandchildren, Valentina (Eric) France, Riley Scott (Rachel Reffitt), and Rodney (Brittany) Scott; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Michael Scott; a sister, Marge Frazee;  three sisters-in-law, Jane Downard, Margarett Downard, and Mary Partee; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Max Partee; six brothers, Ralph, Eugene, Bill, Ray, Roy, and Jack Downard; six sisters, Mona Downard, Marian DeWitte, Betty Jones, Virginia Williams, Mary Downard, and Patt Raines; as well as her son-in-law, Mike Scott.

A graveside service celebrating Jane’s life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., in Elk Cemetery in McArthur, with Pastor Bart Ankrom officiating.
