Jackie R. Morris

Jackie Renea Morris, 33, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at her home. She was born February 21, 1990, in Gallipolis, Ohio to Danny Morris and Ellen (Holsinger) Morris. Jackie was a 2008 graduate of Vinton County High School. She enjoyed music and singing, and was also very creative, having a great talent for drawing. She loved swimming and coloring pictures as well.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Gracelynn Jocelyn; sisters, Natashia Morris and Alaina Morris; nieces and nephews, Adrianna Morris, Axle Morris, Izara Lemay, and Kai Morris; uncles, Jack (Debbie) Holsinger and Christopher Holsinger; an aunt, Shantel Holsinger; as well as many cousins.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Delbert Holsinger; an aunt, Catherine Holsinger; maternal grandparents, Jack and Janet Holsinger; paternal grandpa, Danny J. Morris; as well as her great-grandparents, Harry and Betty Archer and Carl and Daisy Holsinger.

A graveside service celebrating Jackie’s life will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Madison Township Cemetery in Zaleski. Pastor John Starr will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Jackie’s name be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.
