Harry Crabtree, Jr., 88, of Wellston, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at his home. He was born November 21, 1935, in Oak Hill, Ohio, son of the late Harry and Nora (Kuhn) Crabtree. Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was past commander of the Jackson V.F.W., and past district #12 commander as well. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed squirrel and mushroom hunting as well as travelling. He was an Ohio State Buckeye through and through and a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving family, wife of 59 years, Janet (Sickles) Crabtree; children, Michael Crabtree, Brian Crabtree, Scott Crabtree, and Teresa Crabtree; eight grandchildren: Nicole, Brittany, Audra, Dakota, Garrett, Sheydean, Lacey, and Andrew; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roger (Ivy) Crabtree, Bobby (Tracy) Crabtree, and Gary Crabtree; one sister, Rita (Bob) Enders; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Harry’s wishes his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
