Gloria Faye Rogers, 82, of Dundas, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at her home. She was born April 24, 1939, in Martin, Kentucky, daughter of the late Worlie and Virginia (Reffett) Case. Faye was the oldest of 13 children and very quickly became accustomed to helping rear her younger siblings. Having been born just after the great depression she learned many skills including gardening, canning, sewing, and quilting which she continued to use for the rest of her life. She enjoyed volunteering with the ladies auxiliary of the Dundas Fire Department (when it was in existence) but most of all, loved her family and grandchildren passionately. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving family: sons, Matt (Laina) Rogers, Charlie Rogers, Jeff Hammond, and Steve (Melissa) Hammond; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers, Berlin Franklin (Tressie) Case, Douglas (Patty) Case, Jimmy (Susan) Case, and Randy (Mawule) Case; sisters, Anna (Hughie) Farmer, Connie (Jerry) Nidich, Vanessa Case, Janice Case, Leisha (Glenn) House, and Patricia Kingsbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Russell Rogers who passed in 2003; a brother, Felix Thomas Case; and a sister, Edna Mae Hammond.
A funeral service celebrating Faye’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Matt Chesser officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home also on Wednesday, two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Faye’s name may be given to the family in care of R.M Williams Funeral Service, P.O. Box 654, Wellston, Ohio 45692, to help offset funeral and medical expenses.
