Carson V. Sexton, 76, of Wellston, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at his home. He was born on January 13, 1945, in Jackson County, Ohio, son of the late Raleigh V. and Essie (Kelley) Sexton. A veteran of the United States Army, Carson was currently serving as the chaplain for the Disabled American Veterans in Jackson and served by transporting other veterans to various appointments. In his younger years, he pastored at a couple area churches, and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was an extremely talented musician who enjoyed playing and singing gospel music.
