Betty Lou Hayslip, 68, of Wellston, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home. She was born June 24, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Alexander, Sr. and Viny (Kelly) Triplett. Betty enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, and spending time with her family especially during the holidays when she would cook large meals for them.
She is survived by her husband, John Schneider; children, Lori Norman (Tim), Dale Hayslip (Jennifer Copley), and Donald Hayslip; six grandchildren, Ashley, Cassie, Ryan, Blaise, Kyle, and Ethan; five great-grandchildren, Ember, Tyshawn, Skylan, Kaiden, and Skilah; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by five brothers, Jay, Paul, Junior, John, and Jimmy; and one sister, Alene Mullins.
A funeral service celebrating Betty’s life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., with Pastor Harry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m.
