William G. "Bill" Jordan, 79, of Wellston, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, his wife, Sharon, and his son, Michael, on October 31, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 20, 1946, in McArthur, Ohio, son of the late Foster "Pug" and Faustena (South) Jordan. Bill devoted his life to service, both as a professional and in his community.
Bill enjoyed a distinguished career, primarily as a sanitation superintendent at Lui Gino’s food manufacturing company. His dedication to maintaining high standards for health and safety in food production was commendable. Additionally, he also shared his passions and values with the younger generation by driving a school bus for Vinton County Local Schools. This role allowed him to connect with local families and foster relationships within his community.
A proud veteran, Bill served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His military service was a key part of his identity, reflecting his commitment to duty and sacrifice.
Bill was not only dedicated to his career and country; he was a family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his sons, Billy Ray Jordan and Tim (Misty) Jordan; his daughter, Stephanie Frazier; nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Austin, Andrew, Dylan, Alex, Julian, Jaelynn, and Ethan; and three great-grandchildren, Jennings, Lincoln William, and Auora Ann. He also leaves behind his brother, Richard "Dick" (Betty) Jordan; sister-in-law, Linda Jordan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon (Collins) Jordan; his son, Michael Jordan; his brother, Roger Jordan; and an infant brother. Each of these loved ones held a special place in his heart, and their memories continued to influence his life and legacy.
Outside of his professional and familial commitments, Bill enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including fishing, hunting, and collecting knives, which were reflections of his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. He was known for his generous heart and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Bill was a member of the Grace Baptist Fellowship in Wellston, where his faith played a central role in his life, guiding him through challenges and shaping his relationships.
