Wendy L. Copas, 60, of Jackson, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus. She was born April 19, 1965, in Oak Hill, Ohio, daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth Ann (Barlow) Baker. Wendy was formerly employed with Jackson City Schools as a bus driver and cashier. She was a very sociable person, who was well liked. Her laid-back personality made her easy to befriend. She enjoyed crafting, decorating for various holidays, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Copas; children, Raymond Copas III (Samantha), and Sara Lambert (Zach); grandchildren, Colin, Natallie, Jase, Autumn, and Grayson; five sisters, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Wendy was preceded in death by a sister.
In keeping with her wishes, Wendy’s remains will be cremated and there will be no public services. She chose to continue to help others in death by being an organ and tissue donor.
