Vernon C. Young

Vernon C. Young, 94, of Wellston, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. He was born on February 22, 1925, in Louisa, Kentucky, son of the late Henry and Bertha (Triplett) Young. Vernon was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII. He was a hardworking man who loved his Country, Freedom, and his family.

A graveside service celebrating Vernon's life will beheld on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in Doles Family Cemetery near Byer with Pastor Jim McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends at R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., also on Tuesday from 1 until 1:45 p.m.
