Timothy Sprague

Timothy Sprague, 64, of Wellston, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his home. He was born January 20, 1960, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Carl and Norma Jean (Gill) Sprague. Tim was a hard worker throughout his life. He was previously employed with Rumpke, Walton’s Coal Mine, and Bellisio Foods in Jackson. He enjoyed watching wrestling, gardening, and loving on his four cats, Blackie, Lucky, Simba, and his favorite, Calico.

He is survived by his loving family: his significant other for 22 years, Mona Patterson; step daughters, Diana Rottersmann and Karen Goheen; grandchildren, Sara (Ryan) Burroughs, Rona Goheen, Dorothy Matteson, Morgan Coll, and Jonathan Harley Rottersmann; great-grandchildren, Aeress Burroughs and Oliver Matteson; brothers, Gary and Larry Sprague; a sister, Carol McKnight; as well as special friends, Mike Rottersmann, Tim and Judy Caudill, Kevin Cheatwood, Deano Cheatwood, Mark Thomas, James Charles, Carl Williams, Marty Coll, Earne Jarvis, Poogie Jayjohn, Charlie and Teresa Denny, and many more.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Brenda Williams, a granddaughter, Allie Goheen; a brother, Mike Sprague; as well as his favorite dog, Bruno.

In keeping with Tim’s wishes his body will be cremated and no public services will be held.
