Tara M. Carper

Tara Mae Carper, 37, of Wellston, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024. She was born November 22, 1986, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of April M. Kerr, who survives. Tara was currently employed at Mid-Way Café and convenience store in Jackson. She was a kind-hearted soul with a beautiful smile that could light up a room who would do anything for anyone. Tara adored her children and family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time and watching movies with them. In her younger years she liked cheerleading and playing softball.  She was also fond of being outdoors and fishing, swimming, and hunting mushrooms.  She loved animals of all kinds and was very talented with makeup and nails, taking great pride in her appearance. Tara will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her mother, April, she is survived by her children, Logan, Landon, and Lyla Cornell; brother, Jeff (Ashley) Carper; sister, Kayla (Nathan) Bouchard; nieces, Natalie, Madeline, and Amelia Carper; father, Terry Johnson; uncles, Terry Kerr and Robby (Virginia) Kerr; maternal grandpa, Larry (Shirley) Kerr; cousins, Brittiany, Jeremiah, Mindy, Misty, Matthew, and Tyler, as well as many other cousins and friends.

Tara was preceded in death by her grandma, Judy Mae Kerr; an uncle, Aaron Kerr; and cousins, Jeff and “Little” Aaron Kerr.

A funeral service celebrating Tara’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m.
