Robert E. “Bob” Harrison, 64, of Hamden, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on September 2, 1952 in Jackson, Ohio, son of the late Arnold and Freda (Mercer) Harrison. Bob was currently employed with the State of Ohio in the maintenance department at the Ross Correctional Institution. He was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School and a licensed plumber. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flower and vegetable gardening. He was always sure to have some outdoor flowers around the house in the spring. Most of all, Bob liked cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Some of the best memories were made at the annual hog roasts he threw for a number of years. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his longtime partner, friend, and confidant, Janet Norman; as well as aunts, uncles, two nieces, and a whole host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Arnold “Duke”, Steve, and Mike.
The family will receive friends at R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway Street, Wellston, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m., where a funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will follow commencing at 7:00 p.m.. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson.
