Rebecca Ann (Dubler) Stemen

Rebecca Ann Stemen, 68, of Lima, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1949 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Johnson) Dubler. Rebecca was a member of the Moose Lodge 199, Lima, Ohio. A Christian by faith, she attended church when she was able. She enjoyed fishing, loved music and jewelry and her special friend, Tootsie, her Teacup Chihuahua.

She is survived by her loving family: children: Shirley Ann Stemen Manring (John), Robert Wayne Stemen, Jr. (Vicki), William Richard Stemen (Kathy), and Lance Anthony Stemen (Jennifer); 11 grandchildren: Becky Moye (Daniel), Johnny Manring, Zachariah Stemen, Lavita Calipari, Vanessa Stemen, Matthew Kelley, Trevor Kelley, Katelynn Stemen, Alexis Stemen, Jessica Stemen, and Kal-El Stemen; eight great-grandchildren: Heather, Julian, Audriana, Aryana, Gavyn, Shaya, Amiah, Nevaeh, and two on the way; as well as her “adopted daughter,” Paula Johnson; :adopted son,” Scott Swinehart; three sisters; two brothers; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Stemen, Sr., and her daughter, Barbara Ann “Barbie” Stemen.

A graveside service celebrating Rebecca’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 12 noon in Byer Cemetery with Pastor Paul Fout officiating.
