Paul E. Collins,79, of Wellston, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born on March 6, 1946, in Jackson County, Ohio son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Warner) Collins. He was a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man.
For over three decades, Paul dedicated his career to Frick Gallagher Manufacturing, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. His military service as an Army Vietnam Veteran also highlighted his dedication to his country and exemplified the values of service and sacrifice that remained a guiding principle throughout his life.
Paul's greatest joy came from his family. He very much loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. In addition to his family, Paul enjoyed a variety of pastimes that brought him fulfillment. He cherished the moments spent outdoors, especially while hunting Morel mushrooms and fishing. Driving around Wellston to check on family and visiting Lake Alma were activities he particularly loved. Paul was known for his regular shopping trips to Walmart, where he would often share a kind word or a smile with those he encountered. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Collins, and his children, Paula (Roger) Pierce, Chrissy (Mike) McCarty, and Bud Collins (Kassie). He treasured the time spent with his grandchildren: Timmy Rowell, David Bishop, Larissa Canter, Marlee Collins, Brodee (Lakin) Collins, Alex Flickinger, and Konnor Collins. Paul also enjoyed the loving company of his great-grandchildren, Nalyn, Mazelee, and Cambree, and he will also be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Edith Warner; his daughter, Tammy Collins; and his brother and sisters, including Jimmy Collins, Connie Potts, Bonnie Davis, Sharon (Bill) Jordan, and Betty Collins.
In keeping with Paul's wishes, his body will be cremated. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
