Nancy J. (Lamb) Jones

Nancy Jones, 80, of Chillicothe, formerly of Wellston, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born June 10, 1944, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Dale and Myrtle (Stewert) Lamb. Nancy was a homemaker who proudly raised her children, leaving them a legacy of hard work, faithfulness, and love. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, watching the weather and news, and various YouTube programs about knitting. She loved her dogs and shopping (especially at Hobby Lobby), but most importantly she loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, James (Nadina) Jones and Pamela (Rick) Post; six grandchildren, Jacqueline Mullins, Jimmy Jones, Tori Jones, Billy Griffith, Jennilyn Prater, and Jamie Frisby; 15 great-grandchildren, James, Dylan, Braelyn, Aubrey, Emery, Brooklynn, Haidyn, Hudson, Hadley, Jasper, Ellie, Baylee, Gabriel, Silas, and Saylor; as well as a brother, Lester Lamb, several nieces and nephews, and her dog, “Baby Girl.”

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James Jones, a son, Anthony Jones, a great-granddaughter, Lillian Mullins; a sister, Ruth McTurner; brothers, Thomas and Larry Lamb; as well as her beloved chihuahua and best friend, Haley.

A funeral service celebrating Nancy’s life, will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m.
