Mary Kay Campbell, 80, of McArthur, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 8, 1946, in Logan, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dale and Cora (Jarvis) Turner. Mary Kay was a hard worker all her life. She previously worked for Goodyear, retired from Austin Powder Company, and continued to work as a nurse’s aide at Westmoreland Place and as a laborer at Lake Hope State Park even after her retirement. She was a member of the McArthur V.F.W. and Eagles, and enjoyed gambling, reading, traveling, and doing word search puzzles. Because of her diverse work experience, Mary Kay was well known and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her loving family: son, Bryan (Bonnie) Campbell; daughters, Rose (Tim) Nichols and Tisha (Doug) Patterson; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; a daughter-in-law, Tonta Bigham; “adopted son,” John (Cheryl) White; sister-in-law, Nannette Sowards; good friend, Linda Smith; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mary Kay was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Bethel; two great-grandchildren, Kevin “Little Man” Patterson and Sierra Danner; brothers, Mac Jarvis, Harry Dale Turner, and Robert Turner; sister, Brenda Rose Jewell; as well as her special friend, Barb Hartsough.
In keeping with Mary Kay’s wishes, cremation followed her passing, and there will be no public services.
