Mariah Beth (Davis) Marcum

Mariah Beth Marcum, 33, of Wellston, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born September 8, 1990, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of Anthony Davis and Teresa (Canada) Davis. Mariah was a 2008 graduate of Vinton County High School.  She enjoyed music and dancing, flea market shopping, going to the beach when visiting her dad in Florida, and watching television, especially cooking shows and zoo or animal programs. Most of all, however, she loved her family, specifically her son, Mason; and her brother with whom she was always bickering.

She is survived by her son, Mason Alexander Johnson; mom, Teresa Davis and Jeffery Coleman; dad, Anthony and Charlotte Davis; favorite (only) brother, Adam Kristopher Davis; paternal grandpa, Glen Davis, Jr.; two aunts, Cynthia (Dennis) Osborne and Angela (Eric) Canada; an uncle, William (Shalina) Davis; as well as several cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dewey and Patricia Canada; paternal grandma, Barbara Leigh Justice; as well as an infant daughter, Macilyn Elizabeth Davis Branham.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. The family will receive friends also on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service from noon until 1 p.m. Mariah’s remains will be laid to rest at the convenience of her family in Hamden Cemetery next to her beloved daughter, Macilyn.

In keeping with Mariah’s loving and generous spirit, it was her family’s decision to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation, so that others may live.
