Marcella Young

Marcella Young, 84, of the Byer community, passed from this life Monday, October 27, 2014. The daughter of Jason and Isabel Detty Groves, she was born December 6, 1929, in Milton Township. Marcella retired from Edgewood Manor of Wellston after many years of working as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed going to yard sales and found great pleasure working on her lawn, especially mowing with her very own Wheel Horse Mower.
Marcella is survived by her three sons and their wives, Mike and Eva, Dennis and Suedell and Larry and Beth all of Wellston; granddaughters, Gina Edwards, Jennifer Beck, Shannan Newman, Dorianne Hutchison and Brandi Young; and a grandson, Kevin Young. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Kaci Young, Tyler Young, Joshua Newman, Brady Hutchison, Kaleigh Young, Wesley Beck, Megan Holstein and Lindsey Davis; great-great-grandchildren, Rylan Young and Parker Holstein; numerous nieces and nephews; and her many friends.
In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Vester D. Young, a son, Rick D. Young; and her siblings, Nellie Smith, Anna McCelland, Tillie Knox, Jack and Frank Brown.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor James McFadden,will also be at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m.Burial will follow in the Byer Cemetery. Arrangements for Marcella J.
