Marc W. Bishop

Marc Wayne Bishop, 60, of Wellston, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at his home. He was born April 11, 1964, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Michael and Alena (Leach) Bishop. An outdoorsman at heart, Marc enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, racing, and trail riding. He liked collecting antiques, reading sci-fi books, playing chess, and watching WWE wrestling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Tom (Amber) Bishop; daughter, Lacy Bishop (Jason White); grandchildren, Brantley Bishop, Grayson Bishop, Zaydon White, and Theodore Bishop; a sister, Patricia Womeldorf; a nephew, Seth (Amanda) Brown; a niece, Kelsey (Ryan) Darnell; an uncle, Sam Leach; as well as many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cremation will follow.

Marc’s ashes will be buried with his beloved parents in Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Marc’s name may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
