Kimberly S. Patrick,60, of Wellston, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026. She was born on April 4, 1966, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dave Patrick and Connie Potts. Kim lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering friendliness that touched everyone she met. Her radiant spirit and cheerful demeanor made her a beloved figure in her community.
Kim was currently employed at The Store (Sunoco) in Wellston, a place where she found great joy and camaraderie. She loved her job deeply and cherished the friendships she built there, always displaying a happy and friendly attitude that never faltered. Her colleagues remembered her as a bright light and a source of encouragement in their daily lives.
An avid enthusiast of arts and crafts, Kim particularly enjoyed painting rocks adorned with encouraging words and phrases, a creative outlet that brought her—and those around her—much happiness. Her artistic talents reflected her nurturing and optimistic nature, spreading inspiration to her family, friends, and community alike.
Kim’s family was a central pillar in her life. She is survived by her devoted son, Gary Whetstone, and his husband, Kody Kennard; her loving daughter, Ginger Willetts, and her husband Jimmy; and cherished grandchildren Nathan Willetts and his wife Shelby, Aisley Coleman, and Ginna Willetts. Her great-grandchildren, Eliza and Amelia Willetts, were a source of immense pride and joy. She also leaves behind her sisters, Vicki Rupert (Pete), Belinda Pratt (Bill), and Jona Cozad. Kim’s special friend Patty Milliken, along with an uncle, aunts, cousins, and dear friends, all held a treasured place in her heart; as well as her faithful fur companion, Gigi, who was a constant source of comfort and love.
Kim was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dave and Charlotte Patrick, and Connie Potts, each of whom she remembered fondly throughout her life.
The community is invited to honor Kimberly S. Patrick’s memory at a visitation on May 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at R.M. Williams Funeral Service,120 W. Broadway St, Wellston, Ohio. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location commencing at 7:00 PM, with Tim Jones officiating.
