Johnny was a man whose kindness, devotion, and enduring love shaped the lives of all who knew him.

Johnny McQuirt, 69, of McArthur, and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on December 18, 1956, in Louisa, Kentucky, son of the late Richard G. and Audrey (Williamson) McQuirt.  Johnny was a man whose kindness, devotion, and enduring love shaped the lives of all who knew him.

Johnny’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Veronica, who was his steadfast companion through every joy and challenge. Together, they raised a wonderful family, united by love and affection. Johnny’s legacy continues through his daughters Tricia (Dustin) Robinette and Kayla (Curtis) Rose, and his son, Christopher (Kaylen) McQuirt, and his sons by heart, Evan, Adam"Biscuit", and Broc. He cherished his grandchildren—Kayden, Paige, Grayson, Addilynn, and Christian—whose laughter and accomplishments brought him immense happiness; He is also survived by his brothers, Richard (Joan) McQuirt and Gene (Melanie) McQuirt, and his sister by heart, Barb; as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Ollie.

In addition to his parents,  Johnny was preceded in death by his sisters, Sonia Fitch and Vada Adams.

Throughout the years, Johnny’s relationships extended beyond family, touching the lives of friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His work as an independent care provider for clients with mental and physical disabilities, as well as his service in the United States Air Force, left an indelible mark. His warmth, good humor, and generous spirit stand as a testament to a life lived with integrity and heart.

Johnny’s greatest pride was his family.

A visitation in memory of Johnny McQuirt will take place on July 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at R.M. Williams Funeral Service,120 W. Broadway St, Wellston, OH 45692. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Johnny are invited to gather in tribute and remembrance. A brief time of sharing will close out the evening.
