John L. Ward

John L. Ward, 59, of McArthur, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born March 8, 1965, in Athens, Ohio, son of the late John L. and Juanita (Perry) Ward.  John was a hard worker who was currently employed with McArthur Post and Lumber as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed many sports including NASCAR, the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, but most of all he loved his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Bobo Ward; daughters, Nikki Sowers and Stefanie (Jeremy) Barney; six grandchildren: Kameron, Kennedy, Elizabeth, Christopher, Kadance, and Ashton; as well as a brother, Melvin (Angie) Ward.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughters, Mary and Kelli; a grandson, Tristan; as well as a brother, Chris and son-in-law, John Sowers.

In keeping with John’s wishes no public services will be held.
