Joanne Van Kirk

Joanne Van Kirk, 63, of Wellston, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Wellston. She was born on July 18, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Crowley) Van Kirk.

She is survived by her sisters, Debra Buckley and Tina Unger; brother, Charles (Jill) Van Kirk; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, James Unger

As a resident of Edgewood Manor for 25 years, Joanne was affectionately known as “Jo Jo.” The staff and other residents there became like family. Although nonverbal, Jo Jo learned to communicate her love and ornery personality in other ways. She was a gift from God to those around her and now resides with Him, along with her beloved parents. She will be greatly missed.
