Janice Jo (Wilbur) Von Kamecke

Janice Jo Wilbur-von Kamecke, 87, originally of Hamden, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, in Kennesaw, Georgia. Jan was born on April 5, 1932, in Jackson, daughter of the late Owen H. Wilbur and Margaret E. Wilbur. She graduated Hamden High School in 1950.

Janice was a retired state of Ohio licensing and taxation employee and had previously lived in Columbus, for over 30 years. She spent her retirement years in Marietta, Georgia near her son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Jodie. She is survived by her son, Eric Scott von Kamecke of Marietta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Jodie Mannion von Kamecke of Marietta, Georgia; and various nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny S. Wilbur, and her husband, Theodore T. von Kamecke.

A memorial service celebrating Jan’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 1:30 p.m.  in the chapel of R. M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St, Wellston, OH 45692. Burial will follow in Hamden Cemetery.
