Janet (Manring) Spees

Janet M. Spees, 72, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio. She was born on September 3, 1944 in Jackson, Ohio, daughter of the late Reula S. and Rose (Edwards) Manring. “Conrad Kid,” as she was known on the CB radio, was an absolutely fantastic, fun, loving person with a huge heart. She would do anything for anyone, even if it meant “going without,” herself. With her Pepsi in hand, she enjoyed relaxing by coloring, fishing, and having fun playing on the iPad or cards. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Don Spees; nieces, Sarah Manring, Mary Manring (Darrell Routson), and Gaylene Gay (Will); nephew, John Manring (Shirley); great-nephews, Johnny Manring, Thomas Snider and Matthew Routson; great niece, Becky Manring; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Orman Manring and her sister, Margie Smith.

A graveside service celebrating Janet’s life will be held on Thursday, April, 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Byer Cemetery.
