Jacob A. Jarvis

Jacob Alan Jarvis, 27, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017. He was born on November 29, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Ernest L. Jarvis, Jr. and Amy E. George. An avid outdoorsman, Jacob enjoyed camping, swimming, riding 4-Wheelers, fishing, and walking in the woods taking in the beauty and stillness of nature and its calming effect. Jacob was very intuitive; always interested in finding out how things worked. He liked reading, but most of all, he loved playing and spending time with his daughter, Maddilynn.

He is survived by his loving family: daughter, Maddilynn; father, Ernest; mother, Amy; brothers, Timothy, Darren, Ernest, and Sam; maternal grandma, Rose; 10 aunts and uncles; as well as many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest, Sr. and Verna; his maternal grandpa, James; as well as 6 aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, from 11 to 1 p.m., where a funeral service celebrating Jacob’s life will follow commencing at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Hamden Cemetery.
