Jacob M. Griffis

Jacob M. Griffis, 78, of Hamden, passed away on May 22, 2015 at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. He was born on December 26, 1936 in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late David and Minnie (Riffle) Griffis. Jacob very much enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving family: brother, Ted Hollingshead, Jr.; sister, Minnie (Carl) Salmons; all of Wellston; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jacob was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Griffis; two sisters and brother-in-law, Emma and Joe Sirback, and Elsie Griffis; as well as his step-father, Ted Hollingshead, Sr.
A visitation, celebrating Jacob’s life, will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in the chapel of R. M. WILLIAMS FUNERAL SERVICE (formerly Huntley and Cremeens Funeral Home), 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, from 6 to 8 p.m.
