Jackson "Jack" F. Powell

Jackson F. “Jack” Powell, 83, of McArthur, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born September 13, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Granville and Bonnie (Kistler) Powell. A Christian by faith, Jack was a member of Grace Baptist Fellowship in Wellston.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary; a son, Granville Powell (Tracey Boggs); daughters, Jacqueline (Kenneth) Howell, and Jill Powell; three grandchildren, Amber Powell, Kenley Howell, and  Ryleigh Boggs; a brother, Billy (Marge) Powell; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Powell; and sisters, Judy Moore and Pamela Ebbinghaus.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes his body will be cremated. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in Grace Baptist Fellowship in Wellston with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.
