Grace Ann Hill, 82, of Wellston, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was born September 4, 1940, in Jackson County, Ohio, daughter of the late Marshall and Grace (Morris) Hill. Grace was a loving, kind, and caring person whose main purpose in life was taking care of her family. She worked various jobs outside the home over the years while also maintaining her responsibilities at home. After retirement, however, Grace was able to fully embrace being a homemaker a role she truly loved. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, flower and vegetable gardening, and listening to her windchimes. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her family: longtime partner and friend, Michael Long; sons, Tommy (Janet) Hill, Bryan Hill, and Mac Hill; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike (Eva) Hill; a sister, Doris Crowe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Brenda Hill, and Becky Hill.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by brothers, Pat, Arthur, Eugene, Sam, and infant Joe; sisters, Janet Wyatt, Belle Boyer, Merle Terry, Avis Weiske; and infant Nellie.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston. A graveside service will follow in Salem Cemetery with Pastor Mark Clingan officiating.
