Gary R. Lilly,56, of South Bloomingville, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026. He was born on June 24, 1970, in Beckley, West Virginia, son of the late Roy and Alice (Griffith) Lilly. His passing marks the end of a life characterized by enduring love, unwavering dedication to family, and the steady presence he offered to so many.

Gary embraced his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend with deep devotion. He was a hard worker who finished concrete for 27 years. He enjoyed NASCAR and football, especially his beloved Bengals.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Crystal, whose partnership and support were the cornerstones of his life. Together they built a close-knit family, sharing joys and challenges with steadfast unity. He will be fondly remembered by his sons, Gary II, and his wife, Jordan, and Noah, whose lives were profoundly shaped by his wisdom and guidance. His grandchildren, James, Rylie, and Addilynn, will long be treasured for the warmth and joy he brought into their world. Gary’s affection for his family was matched by his care for his extended family. He leaves behind his brothers, Jimmy (Tammy) Lilly and Bobby (Sarah) Lilly, whose bonds of brotherhood were strengthened by years of shared experiences. Sister-in-law, Deana Green, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his dear sisters, Roberta (C.W.) Wickline and Rose Ann (Ronnie) Lambert, and his brother-in-law, Anthony Buck (Coy). Their memories remained cherished and vivid throughout his days.
