Everett T. Coy, 72, of Hamden, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born August 25, 1951, in Marion, Ohio, son of the late Allison and Dorothy (McCumber) Coy. Everett proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and retired from Caudill Chipping in McArthur after 32 years of dedicated service. Everett was very skilled at woodworking and was known in the area as “The Happy Woodworker.” He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki (James) Coy; son, Mike Coy; daughter, Lisa (Bryan) Russell; step-son, James (Heidi) Vickers; step-daughters, Lucretia Smith and Garilynn Fletcher; grandchildren, Charity Renner, Deb Coy, Katelyn Williams, Caleb Jackson, Austin Nelson, Chase Boggs; step-grandchildren, Emily and Hayden Reynolds, and Allie Vickers; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl (Vicki) Coy, Jim (Lucretia) Coy, and Dennis Coy; a sister, Sharon (James) Hill; brothers-in-law, Marty (Jayda) James, Steve (Paulette) Jennings, Wendell (Layda) Jennings, and Alan Johnson; as well as several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Sam; and his beloved cat, Bella.
In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston, where a funeral service will follow commencing at 7 p.m.
