Ella M. (Hollingshead) Speraw

Ella Marie Speraw, 77, of Wellston, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Wellston. She was born on November 19, 1943, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Evan C. and Rosetta (Souders) Hollingshead. Although she could be quite outspoken, Ella was a very kindhearted person who spent nearly 20 years as a caregiver in her role as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She also taught many nurse’s aide classes over the years.  She enjoyed reading romance novels and spending time with her son.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Rachel) Speraw; sisters-in-law, Mary Chambers and Karen Withrow; and a brother-in-law, Curtis Speraw.

In addition to her parents Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee Speraw.

A funeral service celebrating Ella’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Dennis Rosser officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home also on Tuesday, one hour prior to services from noon until 1 p.m.
