David A. Yates

David A. Yates, 75, of McArthur, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Maple Hills Nursing Home in McArthur. He was born July 2, 1949, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Wilbert and Ruth (Farabee) Yates. David was very family oriented always keeping his loved ones at the center of everything he did. He enormously enjoyed being outdoors building and doing carpentry work. He once restored a 1949 truck, and was the “go to” repairman, who could fix nearly anything. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa; son, Matt (Koty) Yates; two granddaughters, Keirsten and Kelsey; a brother, Joseph (Linda) Yates; and two sisters, Janet Frazier and Theresa Ware.

In keeping with David’s wishes no public services will be held.
