David M. Mccarter

David Mark McCarter, 70, of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at his home. He was born August 17, 1954, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Roy and Inez (Jackson) McCarter. David was an extremely hard worker who spent most of his life trucking or cutting timber. When he was younger, he could often be found working on hotrods and drag-racing them with friends.  In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Johnny) Bounemany; four grandchildren, Kalaeo, Jospeh, Malina, and Jeremiah; brothers, Roy McCarter, Jr., and Paul McCarter; as well as special nephews, Jay and Eric McCarter; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Mathews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, where a funeral service celebrating David’s life will follow commencing at 1:00 p.m.  Pastor Brandon McCarter, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodson Cemetery.
