Danny K. Roberts

Danny K. Roberts, 67, of Wellston, formerly of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1959, in Haywood County, North Carolina, son of the late Wilburn Roberts and Dorothy (Crawford) Roberts, who survives. Danny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. In 1995, he met and married Sally Cummings in Tampa, Florida, where they remained until his retirement in 2001, when they moved to Midlothian, Virginia. Danny continued his service to his country by working as a civilian for the Department of Defense for another 20 + years. He will be remembered for his dedication and loyalty, but most of all for his love for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; son, Evan (Kerstin) Roberts; mother, Dot; brothers, Rick (Julie) and David (Sharon) Roberts; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; as well as his sisters-in-law, Becky Conger and Amy Kimmy (Larry), and brothers-in-law, Matt and John (Judy) Cummings.

In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John L. Cummings, Jr.

In keeping with Danny’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
