Connie A. Deihl,75, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 1, 1951, in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of the late Calvin and Doris “Susie” (Spillman) Havener. Connie’s life was a testament to warmth, community, and heartfelt dedication. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Connie’s early years were shaped by a childhood raised on a farm that echoed the simplicity and charm of "Little House on the Prairie." This upbringing instilled in her strong values of resilience, hard work, and closeness to nature—principles that she carried throughout her life.

For many years, Connie served as a welcoming door greeter at Wal-Mart, where her friendly demeanor and genuine spirit made her a beloved figure. She had the unique gift of never knowing a stranger and absolutely loved socializing, touching countless lives with her kindness and open-hearted nature.

A devoted member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston, Connie nourished her faith and community ties through her participation in the church choir, steadfastly lending her voice in song and fellowship. Her spirituality was a cornerstone of her peaceful and generous soul.

Creativity and artistry were among Connie’s cherished passions. She delighted in crafts, decorating, ceramics, pottery, drawing, and gardening. Many afternoons were joyfully spent at Apple City Artisans, immersed in the vibrant community of fellow artists. She especially enjoyed chatting with the owner, Kelly Molihan. Additionally, Connie enjoyed the quiet challenge of puzzles, which reflected her thoughtful and patient approach to life.

Connie’s family was the heart of her world. She is survived by her loving husband, John Deihl, and their daughters Arlene Anderson (Mike) and Katie Llave (Kristian). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Ronald Edwards (Kaylee Mercer), Lailoni Anderson (fiancé Adam Ross), and Justen Anderson, and she was a proud great-grandmother to Tempest, Zarrah, Jayce, Kaisen, Brantley, and Kohen. Connie also leaves behind her brothers, Gary Havener (Judy), Darell Havener (Martha), and Marvin Havener, as well as several nieces and nephews who will all treasure her memory.

Family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on June 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W Broadway St, Wellston. The visitation will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 1:00 PM at 227 S New York Ave, Wellston, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Herge celebrating. Burial will then be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wellston

She will be remembered with deep respect, affection, and love.
