Carolyn J. Gray, 74, of Wellston, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on July 4, 1945, in Wilkesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Eileen (Duffy) Cray. Carolyn was a very kind and generous lady who loved her dogs, enjoyed watching her favorite T.V. show, N.C.I.S., and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Gray; sons, Kevin (Pam) Burns and Todd (Beth) Burns; 10 grandchildren: Brian (Alex), Dustin (Kayla), Willow, Eric, Jennifer, Destanee, Lakyn, Chianna Jaxson, and Malaki; six great-grandchildren: Zoey, Kayden, Alyiah, Kendrick, Parker, and Ava; a brother, Larry (Connie) Cray, a sister, Judy (Keith) Molihan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, Rick Burns; and a brother, Jim Cray.
A funeral service celebrating Carolyn’s life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Ann Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 26, 2020, from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions in Carolyn’s name be made to the Jackson County Humane Society or a local food pantry of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
