Barbara E. (Hubbard) Wright

Barbara E. Wright, 66, of Wellston, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Buckeye Forest Nursing Home. She was born July 18, 1958, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Blaine Hubbard and Charlotte (Hunter) Hubbard, who survives. Barbara was a kind-hearted person who loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She could routinely be found with coffee in hand watching her favorite television show, “The Little House on the Prairie,” or watching wrestling. Recently, Barbara proudly accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. In her spare time, she enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her mother, Charlotte, she is survived by her children, Michael Wright, Jr., Kyle (Rebecca) Wright, Michelle Wright, and Stephanie Wright; nine grandchildren, Elijah, Payton, Paisely, Chassity, Schyler, Roman, Zoey, Rylee, and Damian; brothers, Blaine Hubbard, Jr, Ricky Hubbard, and Randy Hubbard; sisters, Kay (Chuck) Branham, Linda Hubbard, and Elizabeth (Dave) Kole; a special nephew who was like a son, Bobby Long; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wright, Sr.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes her body will be cremated. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be with her beloved husband in Byer Cemetery.
