Audrey L. (Miller) Garvin

Audrey L. Garvin, 81, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at her home. She was born September 6, 1941, in Coalton, Ohio, daughter of the late Morgan and Orpha (Canter) Miller. Audrey was a kind, gentle, soul who was raised by her maternal grandparents, the late Lando and Millie Canter because her mother, Orpha, passed away when Audrey was just three years old. Millie and Lando raised her to be a strong young lady who would eventually become the matriarch of the Garvin Family. A Christian by faith, she attended LifeSource Apostolic Church in Wellston.  Audrey enjoyed traveling, knitting, and spending time with her loved ones and friends. Each year, she would knit infant caps for area hospitals to be given to newborns. She also was known amongst family for making homemade knitted house shoes and afgans for everyone at Christmas. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald Garvin; sons, Jim (Jane), Tim (Rosanne), and Jeff (Annette); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jonathon, Beau, Mandy, Aleysha, and Ben; four great-grandchildren, Addison, Zeau, Zenobia, and Maeve; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, and maternal grandparents, Audrey was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and an infant sister.

A funeral service celebrating Audrey’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at LifeSource Apostolic Church, 110 Driving Park Rd., Wellston, with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson, on Thursday, March 9, at 11:00 a.m.

The family will receive loved ones and friends at LifeSource Church also on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Audrey’s name be given to a favorite charity of your choice.
