Alex David Flickinger

Alex David Flickinger, 22, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born on December 27, 2003, at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio, the son of David Flickinger and Christina (Collins) McCarty.

Alex enjoyed playing guitar, video games, and aggravating his cat, Max. He had a big heart and loved his mom first and foremost, along with the rest of his family.

He is survived by his mom, Chrissy (Mike) McCarty; his father, David (Tracy Partee) Flickinger; his mema, Gloria Collins; his nanny, Lois Flickinger; brother, Charlie Flickinger; sister, Maddie Flickinger; aunt, Paula (Roger) Pierce; uncle, Bud (Kassie) Collins; step-brothers, Adam (Steph) McCarty and Brandon (Baylee) McCarty; best friend, Max; as well as several cousins and friends that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his poppy, J.R. Meek; and pappy, Ed Collins.

In keeping with Alex’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
