Melissa Y. Castor

Melissa Yvonne Castor, 51, of McArthur, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born on April 17, 1966 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late David L. Castor and Sueellen Brown, who survives. Melissa was currently employed with Fruth Pharmacy in Wellston. She was a very ‘big hearted’ person who would help anyone in need. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Melissa very much enjoyed riding motorcycles, but most of all she loved spending time with her two grandsons.

In addition to her mother, Melissa is survived by her children: Son, Josh Hardin; daughter, Ashley (Tony) Pittenger; grandsons, Haydin Hardin and Jerrick Pittenger; brother, David “Dee” (Cindy) Castor; sister, Shannon Belcher; four nieces, Kelli and Allison Castor and Brittany and Tiffany Pridgen; two nephews, Matthew Castor and Kamryn Belcher; as well as her great aunt, Crystal Lawhead and numerous friends.

In addition to her father, Melissa was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Castor and infant daughter, Jennifer Hardin.  

A funeral service celebrating Melissa’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston, with Ann Keating and Sandy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, December 3, 2007 from 1 to 5 p.m.
