Johnny R. Baer

Johnny R. Baer, 43, of McArthur, formerly of Wellston, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019, at his home. He was born on October 29, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Bessie (Gearing) Baer. Johnny was a very well-known member of both the Jackson and Vinton County communities. He could always be found with his video recorder at many local festivals and other events. Johnny’s dream was to be the “camera man” for a news outlet. For his birthday, he would often treat himself to tours of WSAZ or WOUB news studios.  He attended many area churches and represented Christ by his unconditional love for others. He was a simple man who was always kind to others and enjoyed socializing and travelling. His presence will be missed by many.

A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home also on Thursday, one hour prior to services from Noon to 1.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Johnny’s name may be made to the Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
