Harold Mulhern

June 10, 1963 ~ May 4, 2018 (age 54)

Arthur Harold Mulhern, 54, of Vinton County, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on June 10, 1963, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Martha (West) Mulhern. Harold was a very hard worker whose number one priority was providing for his family. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting and farming along with his pet dogs. Even though he could be a bit stubborn at times, Harold was always willing to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. In the end, it was his stubborn nature that kept him strong, as he fought a long 12-year battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Collins) Mulhern; sons, Andrew (Jessica) Mulhern and Anthony Mulhern; two grandsons, Hunter and Weston; brother, Scott Gilliland; two sisters, Debbie Cline and Lisa Gilliland; father and mother-in-law, Harry and Dorothy Collins; brothers-in-law, Bill Collins and Dennis Burdett; sisters-in-law, Vivian Sperry and Marlena Fout; special friends, Charles, Janie, and Becky Snavely, and Janet Brady; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mom, Harold was preceded in death by grandparents, Clyde and Mabel West and his sister-in-law, Mary Burdett.

A funeral service celebrating Harold’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston, with Pete Hoyt officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m.
