Catherine Halterman Lifestory

Catherine Louise Knox Halterman, 56, of Wellston, passed away on January 21, 2024, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born February 17, 1967, in Laurelville, Ohio, daughter of the late Owen and Patsy (Shrider) Knox. Cathy was a big fan of Ohio State. She loved Mickey Mouse and regularly teased “that was her man.” She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her husband of 22 years, Kevin Halterman, and loved playing with her two grandsons, Haydin and Zaydin. She loved everyone and helped all those around her. She loved her fur babies, Bubba Jay, Kalie, Jan, and Snoopy.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Halterman; five children, Calin Hartley, Keila (Kyle) Rutter, Teddy Workman, Jr., Arron Workman, and Daniel Workman; grandkids, Haydin Hardin and Zaydin Rutter, Skyler and Kaysen; nieces and nephews, Bernie Smith, Amanda Stone, Brian Curry, Brent Curry, Brad Curry, Ely (Amanda) Workman, Jimmy (Beth) Workman, Jr., Seth Nicholson, Matthew Nicholson, Patrick Nicholson, Owen Knox, Gregory (Lisa) Knox, and Alisha (Tim) Blair; great nephews, Blake Edwards, Tyler Knox, Ryder Blair, Maverick Workman, Ely Workman, Jr.,; great nieces, Anna Workman and Hailey Knox; a brother and sisters, Karen (Dan) Ragland, Donald (Jackie) Knox, Charity (Rick) Friend, Loretta Curry; sisters-in-law, Kristen Riley, Kelly (Edward) Wolfe, Tammy (John) Worrix, and Kristy Wolfe; very special friend who was like a sister, Kathleen and Richard Camp; as well as many other friends.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her beloved mother-in-law, Janice Wolfe; her brother, Michael Knox; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In keeping with Cathy’s wishes no public service will be held and her body will be cremated. A private family viewing will be held.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
